BRADENTON, FL — The popular downtown Bradenton block party series, Main Street Live, will return in October after going on hiatus two years ago because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This is downtown Bradenton’s most popular street party; it’s back and better than ever,” according to the Facebook event page.

The free monthly music series, hosted by Independent Jones and the Old Main Street Merchants Association, kicks off Oct. 29 with a Halloween-themed event featuring the band Stormbringer.

Katerina Gerakios-Siren, Bradenton’s Community Redevelopment executive director, told Discover Bradenton, “We look forward to Main Street Live becoming one of the premier outdoor concert series of our city and supporting our local businesses.”

The series takes place on historic Old Main Street (12th Street West) between Manatee Avenue and 3rd Avenue.

The street will close to vehicles as food trucks, vendors and artisan set up. There will also be free family-friendly activities throughout the evening.

Vendors interested in participating should fill out an application here. Those interested in information about sponsorship and advertising space, email Morgan Bettes at Morgan@IndependentJones.com.
